England Clinches ODI Series Against Sri Lanka with Dominant 223-Run Win

England clinched a decisive victory over Sri Lanka in the final One Day International (ODI) match, securing the series 2-1 with an impressive 223-run win. The triumph was highlighted by Tom Banton’s maiden international century, as he amassed 126 runs off 105 balls, including 16 fours and five sixes, setting a formidable total of 355 for seven after England opted to bat first.

Banton’s remarkable innings was supported by a 150-run partnership with captain Harry Brook, who contributed a solid 77 runs from 66 deliveries. The innings was further bolstered by Jordan Cox, who added a rapid 76 from 52 balls, providing England with crucial runs in the closing overs.

Sri Lanka’s response faltered early, with England’s bowlers exerting significant pressure. Gus Atkinson claimed two wickets during the powerplay, while Liam Dawson delivered an impressive performance, taking three wickets for 26 runs.
